When we thought the end was never in sight and now it is here! This is our last blog. It feels very nice :) it is somewhat relieving. It’s a signal that school is almost over but finals are very near. This class has helped me out a lot more than I had expected. I am really glad I found out about the smartthinking website to submit papers for editing. It’s a very helpful tool that I recommend to anyone who did not try it. Since I have another two years in college before I get my Bachelors Degree, I figure this website will come pretty handy to future classes.
This class has helped my writing skills greatly. It shows when I feel confident about a paper and get a good grade on it. I have been very successful in this class. All the extra work we had to do like the blogging, discussion posts, group activities, other side activities, EL questions, and other assignments (although sometimes they seemed pointless)have helped my writing skill s and my critically thinking skills. It was cool to hear other people’s opinions and to collaborate on assignments. It really takes away a lot of the agony when being assigned a project. Having partners in a project really relieves the stress. Thanks for whoever I was put in a group with to help complete an assignment. It was relieving to know I could rely on my classmates to help complete a project.
It was great to share ideas and opinions about topics and assignments with my classmates. It helped me become more open minded to other opinions and understand the reasons behind them. I have become more tolerant of others ideas and opinions that conflict with mine.
Well, since school is almost done for this semester that means finals are fast approaching. Since I have five classes that means, five finals. Lucky me right. I just wanted to wish every good luck on their finals and hopefully we all end this class with a good grade: ) Well good luck and have a happy holidays.

ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you as you said, “When we thought the end was never in sight and now it is here!” In the 12th week of this class, I was thinking the same way, “Isn’t this semester over yet?!” Well, only 10 more days. Yes, it’s a great feeling that we carried on and completed another semester, especially when you had five classes this fall. It’s nice to know you got good grades for your essay. You have worked hard, and you earned it. So, even though the class is not over yet, I still want to congratulate you, and all the other classmates for what we have done up to this point.
Per your post, there are five final exams waiting for you before you can enjoy the holidays. I also notice that you had another two years to finish your Bachelor degree, which means many more opportunities waiting ahead of you for a good future to come. Don’t forget to take a little break sometime to help you refresh your mind and recharge your energy.
Keep your momentum up, Ashlin, before you know it, the graduation day is here to celebrate. Good luck to you, and Merry Christmas!
Ashlin it's nice to see we both survived after all the complaining we did (okay okay, it was mostly me complaining) at practice. I know for me the end of this class, this entire semester, just sort of snuck up and poof we're done! Looking back it definitely did not feel that way while we were living it, but now reflecting it seems like we were working so hard there was no time to look at a calendar. This class definitely helped me in similar ways it did for you, the papers were tough and seemed helpful but it was the extra smaller assignments that I seemed to get the most feedback and maturity out of. As you said, the work paid off and hopefully we can continue our education with a bit more confidence in writing skills and critical thinking. I am sorry you have so many finals, one tough week and you're done though! Good luck with those!
ReplyDeleteFirst off good luck with your BA I to am about to embark on that journey…I agree with you that it is amazing at how fast this semester flew by I remember sitting her week three after it sinking in how much work I was in store for finally sunk in and thinking oh man December please hurry up and come. As the seasons slowly changed into winter and now December is here and wow, it seems like yesterday that we began. I remember posting our first post like I just did it. I agree it was a lot of work, but it was good work like every assignment fully had its purpose I never felt like the assignment was useless like in some classes your like what am I doing this for, never did I question that. I really enjoyed this class, it has been my favorite all semester long I feel like we have all grown so much. Thank you for all your contributions and help with my essays and your feedback and everything. I hope you have a very good holiday and who knows maybe our paths will cross again on our way to our respected degrees.
